that bieng said, this is going to sound pretty retarted because i know nothing about this of this.

again forgive my grammar i don't have the effort right now, just got fucking pneumonia.

My mom has worked for the roman catholic church a good portion of her life, during this time she has met many high ranking church officals from around the world. Anyway, those poeple always give here free stuff, and i know that some of these items are, well you couldent buy them because poeple dont sell them. She wont even sell them, ive attempted to brouse the web to see what these would be worth but ive found no luck.

basicly she has (with the papers) first class relics of very famous saints, most notably st.francis of ascisi

im not positive that there "pricless" but if i could slap a price on it, i definetly would.

she also has many other first class relics (1rst class means a peice of there body) (bonescraps ect.) of many othere very famous saints.

i think there worth a shiton of money, and when she dies/ i take them from her. i want to know what the range would be to sell this stuff.

ill take a picture sometime this week, there all legit with papers from the church proiving authenticity, although most not in english due to the nature of these items.

If anyone here can help me on my quest to sell the holy grails, or atleast point me in the right direction, please do.

anything but first class relics are seemingly worthless, and if its not a famous saint its trash. but i think st.francis is worth some loot. please help me make some money

 

Maybe wait till she dies before you think of selling her possessions?

but on a serious note, for the stuff your going to be selling you need an antiques guy or similar who knows the business and more importantly WHO would be looking for items such as these, alot would be wanted by smaller churches i imagine but they might not want to pay you alot (if anything) for them, you need someone who is an expert on this stuff to make sure you get the correct evaluations etc.

 

I hope you're not Catholic, haha.. You'll end up getting excommunicated for trying to sell relics.

Note: No, I'm not religious what so ever. However, the Catholic Church's code of Canon Law says the following in regard to what you're wanting to do:

§1190 §1 – "It is absolutely forbidden to sell sacred relics."

§1190 §2 – "Relics of great significance and other relics honored with great reverence by the people cannot be alienated validly in any manner or transferred permanently without the permission of the Apostolic See."

 

yea but when i realized i could quite possibly be the only person in the entire world (literally) with a first class relic of one of the most famous saints that isnt branwashed enouf to hoard it for another 100 generations, imean there was what, maybe 50 of these relics in existence? Like the church dosent ever lett these leve there possetion there passed on through other jesus freaks who hoard this shit and worship it in there personal shrines.

honestly i think i can get more than a quarter milli for it.

i mean dont get me wrong im not sacrilegious or anything but, money can justify just about anything

EDIT: shes also got saint anthony, saint peter, and possibly a peice of jesus's cross

Shes not dying anytime soon(shes like 47?), and if she were intelligent enough to comprehend there value she would probably sell them to.

my mom inherited all this from one of her high ranking priest friends who is not long for this world, & If she knew/could even comprehend that this could sell for a potentially life changing sum of money, im sure it wouldent take much convicing.

Its just like she has strait like church treasures, ALLOTT of this stuff, The onyl reason i can imagine anyone would have givin it to her is because shes the only person stupid enouf not to sell it because she thinks its fucking magical or somebullshit like that.

Its just gotten me so frustrated over the past few years, and i never looked into it until now, like religious museum and stuff that have even the littlest bit of this shit attract and it attracts thousands of people.

i know i probably sound like a dushbag, but if your brainless idiot mom had a shitton of treasure she wouldent sell because she thinks its magic? u be frustrated to.

 

I think you'd be better off contacting a church, and seeing if they'd like to buy it from you.

Else you'd want to contact an auction house or something. These aren't the kind of thing you can sell on Ebay.

I'm pretty sure that asking the price of human remains with the intent to sell them is a nono.

 

there relics made by the church in gold chalices, its not like your selling dead bodies. its legal trust me

 

You may have a hard time selling them because in most places selling human bones is illegal , to and extent when it come to mummy artifacts then you might be able to sell them . If you were to sell them get an attorney just incase. Best if its jewish or atheist do to what your selling. Second I believe there is a show on the discovery channel called oddities where they were gonna sell a mummy hand gets deep into detail on how to sel human artifact such as what you are trying , try to find out what episode it is and that may give you insight .

There are much better, dedicated sites and forums where OP can go and talk, but this, even in off topic, really is not the place.

Also don't forget that probably 99% of the world thinks the stuff you collect is stupid as well. My best guess is you think your dev/console collection stuff is magic too
