Need some help finding a programer.

    Im looking for a cheap USB based Eprom programer to make some home brew repros of NES and GEN that I want. I saw in other thread someone mentioning a name of a cheap one but I dont fins the thread. If anyone can help I appreciate. It was something with TOP and a number.

    better support than the cheapy top programmers IMO.

    That's a Willem right, I've seen that one and is great but the price is over a hundred.

    But if you want to go the cheapy TOP route...

    TOP853 is the cheap one. the rest are in the same price range as the GQ-4X

    You can make your own ISP with an Arduino. It's a lot of hard work, but that's what you have to do in order to save money.
    If you don't have the skills to make such a device, then you will have to get someone or ask someone you know with a programmer to do it for you.

    I need one that can do 42 pin Eproms. Can you get an adapter for the mcumall.com one?

    I want to cover as many chips as I can. Looks like the GQ-4X plus the board you linked to will do the trick.
    Do I just use the software that is provided with the GQ-4X? Do I need to use something different if i am burning 27C322 chips?

    Dont need additional software. Just the normal programmers software is all you need.
