A friend of mine get an atomiswave and it is in non working condition because it gives an Error 01, I cant find anywhere the troubleshoot for that error, anyone here know what kind of error is that?. Some say is a an error when you turn it on without the game but even with the game it gives Error 01 Rom cartridge include fatal error. I'm already bald and I'm puling what is left of my hair with this. There is no official atomiswave place to go because the so called atomiswave.org dont exist anymore. Any help with this I'll be thankful.
Clean and check the contacts on both the Atomiswave and the cartridge - it can often be a dirty contact (hence the same as no cartridge). Other than that, it's a fault with the cartridge. Try another if you have access to one.
I had a one with the same condition. I even sent it to irepairsega.com. Nada... I sold it at last. Probably it's an easy fix, because it's video. If the guy I sold can find it, I'll let you know... IMO, it has a main control unit which is responsible with I/O, one of the chips with Sammy logo,it can be the reason. Naomi has the same error and they say the buffer chips around can be the reason. Everyone advises to clean its connector with alcohol, I haven't tried. Also some say to give more juice to the board. (5.1v?) It may damage if it's higher than 5.2 as I know. Let me know if you can find the fix...
We will have to find another cart then to check it out after cleaning the contacts of both, is so frustrating that I dont think he is going to put more money on something we are not sure its going to work. I keep reading in different places that sometimes the error goes alone after leaving it on for some time to heat up, then power it off and then turn it on again. But that does not work with this one. Why Sega didnt make a troubleshoot guide for this like some others.
