    Hello folks,

I recently decided to bust out my Turbo Express to find it no longer works properly. The unit powers up and the screen appears to be working (that is, the backlight comes on,) however none of the games boot up. No sound or video appears at all. I've read that the Turbo Express is notorious for having various capacitor problems. It could be any number of issues - dead capacitor? Blown Fuse? Thing is I wouldn't even know where to start with this kind of thing. Even if I were to open in up I don't even know what I'm looking at.

If anyone here wants to make a quick $50 and knows how to fix a busted Turbo Express then send me a PM. Members inside the United States only please.

Well it's all very small electrolytic capacitor.
Many to replace, and small too.

    Probably cost more than $50

That wont be necessary, changing out caps (not even SMD's) is a breeze :)

VERY common repair, and if you have some soldering knowledge it's a breeze.
I'm always keeping my eye out for a broken one in need of some love.
