Needed: Import DC console

Long story short, my US/NTSC Dreamcast suddenly refuses to play my import games by way of the boot disc method. I've tried both my original DC-X and Innovation boot discs with no success...strikes me as odd because it worked flawlessly before. And no, I'm not using CD-R's or any other pirate methods, the damn console just refuses to play discs via the swap method all of a sudden.

Regardless, I need to buy a Japanese DC console. One that's been tested and in good working order. I can pay via Paypal.

If anyone has one for a reasonable price, let me know.
I'll settle for a modded console, but my main goal is to be able to play my import shmups again.

 

You might be able to find the 4-wire chip cheaply still. I put one in my US DC and I've never had a problem playing imports. Real easy to install. I think mine cost about $10.

 

Do you think a mod chip would work in my DC?
I mean, it plays domestic games fine, but it suddenly stopped working properly via the boot disc method. Methinks the drive or laser might be acting up.

In any event, I'd just prefer to buy a dedicated Japanese console for a cheap price.
