I'm aware I have a previous topic, but after much irritation and a month of waiting I finally received my item, and it's a piece of shit.

I purchased a V-Saturn with the promise of (In his words)

First off, no cables. No power, no AV. Not even a damn RF switch. Second, the case wasn't closed. The screws were loose and the top half of the plastic case was rattling around. Third, the reset button is stuck. Fourth, it's missing the rear cover for the battery compartment. Fifth, the mod chip installed has a huge glob of solder, which looks like it's touching the next connector to the chip. I can't tell of course because there are NO FUCKING CABLES. Sixth, the controller that came with it was not for the V-Saturn, but a regular saturn. This could be partially my fault since I didn't ask, but I assumed on these forums I'd be informed by the seller if the unit didn't come with it's own controller.

So after a month of excuses and ignored PMs and one feedback thread prior to this I'm done. I don't even care anymore. Hopefully it works but now I'll have to wait by the mailbox for ANOTHER order from someone on Ebay, pay more money out of pocket just to see if it even functions. AVOID. LIKE. THE. PLAGUE.

Mycrunkybaby or shall I say things that I shouldn't say in front of my kids, has not even done the common courtesy of contacting me in regards my item and I cant understand why...
I paid him the going rate plus postage so its not like he was at a loss and all it was is a piece of plastic, which I bet e couldn't sell unless like me it was a specific buyer that wanted it.

Please use the correct topic for the user. Trying to specifically put negative feedback in a title is unacceptable.

Oh, and shock of shocks, found cables for it, and it doesn't work. So I have $135 fucking paperweight.

 

I would have expected Kev to alter this post's title if that's what he wanted, but if you say so. It's still duplicate information and IMHO unnecessary. Kev, if you read this, I don't think it fair to draw extra attention to DevHackr's issue alone to call him a bad seller (although I agree it sounds like he is), but would suggest renaming the original thread something like DevHackr (REPEAT SCAMMER) would be more appropriate.

Talking of unnecessary DevHackr, do you really have to swear in every post? I appreciate you're upset about this, but it just makes you look bad. I saw him mention Amazon, so take it up with them or your credit card company. I'm sure most users here have got scammed. The thing to do is be the bigger person - mention it calmly and without bad language. This makes you look really credible, and his failure to reply speaks volumes. Swearing just makes you look like a kid on Xbox Live having a temper tantrum.

Swearing really does not make him look like a kid , it's kind of a pissed off reliever. He got ripped off and he deserves to express how he feels when it comes to getting scammed/ripped off. It happend on this site so he is letting everyone know , I appreciate the fact he is letting us know so we don't get ripped off by this same guy.

Ask yourself this: would you behave that way in polite society? Would you do it in front of your parents? Would you do it at work? Would you do it in a playground? If the answer is no, then I'm afraid it IS behaviour that makes you look bad. Of course, if you'd swear in a playground full of kids, you're probably a selfish prat!

If able, try another AV cable or give that guy a wiggle-wiggle.

Also shipping that style of modchip installed in the console is asking for trouble as they (shall I say can be?) are problematic. Try removing the modchip and plugging the ribbon cable straight into the main board. Ape sells (or did sell) the good one's (ie the one that uses 2 ribbon cables).

That sucks man, if you kept getting ignored you should of opened a PayPal case. For the future never, never pay by gift pay the 3.4% for piece of mind.
That modchip is a bad modchip as well. $135 is a lot. I could of done this for this for a bit better in price.

 

What's wrong with the chip? You seem to be more familiar with it than I

 

Sega saturn modchips don't bypass region protection, so you can only play backups, from the same region as your machine. You can not play imports.


A quick and dirty test would be just to simply make a copy of your nights disc and stick it in there.

If you want to play imports you need either a 4 in 1 action replay and region card or install a modded bios , (Bad Ad sells them on this forum) , the Modded bios is the best way to go if you can.

Also nothing stops you from making a backup of a imported game and simply patching it to the correct region before burning the disc, and using that.

 

One last thing, TV card don't always support different video sorces from different regions, you can try setting the video format to NTSC-J or simply try it on a TV.
