I get no signal through my XRGB-3 from my Neo Geo AES (Korean version) when I use a composite connection. My set-up: -Neo Geo AES connected to XRGB-3 via official SEGA Genesis Model 1 A/V cable -XRGB-3 connected to PlayStation 3D Display via DVI-D -> HDMI connection -FPGA is set to B0 What am I missing? My N64 works perfectly fine through S-Video.
A/V cables are different shape between Neo Geo AES and SEGA Genesis. They should not even fit unless forced.
Err, no, it's identical, unless my Korean Neo Geo AES is special. Also, it worked perfectly fine with a direct connection to my TV. I've just been having issues with composite connections on my XRGB-3.
I suppose someone could've replaced the socket. Sega cables are obviously made in far greater number.
Well, I came across this stuff- http://www.neo-geo.com/forums/archive/index.php/t-187004.html http://members.optushome.com.au/eviltim/gamescart/gamescart.htm The only problem I can see is if I use a Genesis SCART cable.
The official Genesis AV cable doesn't use pins 6 and 7. That would only be problematic if it was the SCART cable, which I'm not using (yet).
I got similar results with my AES going through a VGA box. Maybe the composite signal the Neo puts out doesn't take well to being up-converted? I was using the SNK composite cable, too.
