Afternoon Guys So i decided to take the plunge and invest in a Hyper Neo Geo as it was a bargain price on ebay.... I've ended up been well and truely bitten by the Arcade Bug and so far have 3 Carts for the system and 2 original AES Arcade Sticks.:smile-new: so i riged it all up the other day all powered up fine but i couldnt get a picture on my Hitachi Plasma TV on the scart input:mad-new:.I origanally thought it was a problem with the Super Gun or the HNG64. So i swapped tv and i got a perfect picture on a LCD TV in the other room (small 14inch tv). i then set it up on the bigger Panasonic LCD tv and the image was over to the left by about an inch??? :mad-new: just wondered does anyone else have any similar experiances when dealing with superguns and plasma tv and is there a solution. and secondly is there a solution to the off centre image on the tv?? thanks in advance. Andy
Your plasma probably can't sync to the video signal your supergun is outputting. You don't mention what signal in the SCART, you're using...are you using RGB or some kind of NTSC s-video/composite encoder? Most higher end modern TVs have some kind of limited monitor controls to adjust for overscan. If your TV doesn't then you're out of luck with your current equipment.
the signal into the scart is RGB i was wondering if i was to split the signal back to RGB and connect directly to the RGB inputs would that work? or would it just be easier to buy a regular CRT TV. im in the uk so the tv input is PAL. Thank for the advice
Have you tried another 240p console? Even then arcade boards while virtually always more similar to NTSC than PAL, may use non-standard video timing.
Everything else works fine, well all my other retro stuff its just the hyper that wont work.i did read that there is something callef a hanshake problem where the tv wont see the input. Wondering if I can buy some kind of video convertor to add to my supergun. Is there anyway to alter the timing sorry if thats a noob question
