NeoGeo Pocket Front Light Mod

I am looking to attempt a front light mod using the front light of a broken original Nintendo DS. A similar mod has been done with a Gameboy Color below.



I don't have a multimeter and am not familiar with the internals of the NeoGeo Pocket, but can follow pictures/guides/instructions and am handy with a soldering iron. Does anyone know a current guide for this mod? NeoGeo pocket info seems to be scarce on the net.

 

Good idea. You should probably get a multimeter.

 

I have done this mod (with the light from a GBA into the NGPC) and it is pretty easy and really worth doing. You lose about two rows of pixels. The most delicate part is disassembling the screen and light from the GBA (or DS). The rest is easy.

That would be helpful. Other than the link you sent, there are very few references to this mod online.
