Neppachi V doesn't work on my DC

Seems that all the posts from yesterday disappeared cause assembler installed the new design so here is my question again.

Is anyone able to play Neppachi V on a PAL DC using the Action Replay CDX disc?It's the only japanese game that doesn't work for some unknown reason.Sega logo shows up and after that just a black screen but if I click buttons I hear there is something loading.The disc is new,no scratches on it so that can't be the problem and I also don't use scart,so that can't be the problem too.

I have lots of japanese games who use win ce like marionette company which has a big win ce logo below the sega logo when it boots up (never had that in any other game) and it works without any problems.

Neppachi

I don't have Neppachi V, but I do have Neppachi VI (one of my first imports, actually) and it has always worked fine for me. I've always booted it with the Utopia 1.2 disc, though, so you might try booting V with that if you can find it (I think it might still be lurking in the Homebrew section over at http://www.dcemulation.com. Barring that, you might want to try a dedicated import loader, as from what I understand of the AR, it's import booting function was more of a sidethought than anything else. Other than that, I don't know what to tell you.

I got the boot disc since it was released soem years ago but I was never able to play import games through it but anyway I'll try it now.Maybe it's time to get a jap Hello Kitty DC for all my import games

Tried the Utopia disc,same black screen again.If I press buttons I hear that something is loading but I don't get sound or picture.

That is really weird. I know this may sound stupid, but bring both the game and a few boot discs (AR and Utopia) to a friend's DC or something and see if it won't boot there. If not, yeah, looks like you should hit up the Kitty.
