nes cartridge reader, replace or repair/

    My nes gamrs are old but until recently proper care and cleaning have been fine, now only the gray screen pops up and i have no broken pins, any siggestions before i just teplace it?

    Just replace you can go on eBay and get the 11.99 ones never had a problem with them just make sure you keep the carts clean and will be 100%

    I would actually recommend cleaning the old connector as opposed to getting a new one (which BTW are of lower quality than the original connector). What I've done is stick the connector in boiling water with a little dish soap for a few minutes, dry it out in the oven at a low temperature (use the lowest your oven will go to), and then brush it with rubbing alcohol for a final cleaning. It's worked every time except for connectors that wound up being too trashed to be salvaged.
