Hey, I was just wondering where can I get nes vgm music in mp3 format? I just wanna get some stuff on my mp3 player to listen to while on the train.
As I don't like modern music and my list of fav's is short and I pretty much like most vgm from the nes and fc I thought someone could help me. So, any ideas?

Wrong place but FFShrine and torrents are probably the best.

I think most NES music is only available in NSF format, which unlike "VGM" files aren't logs of values written to the sound hardware, the NSFs actually contain each game's audio program ripped and hacked to run stand alone. I'm afraid you'll have to get a player that can dump output to a wave (most should) and then edit (game audio typically loops), add fades and compress manually. Or you could use an emulator and the game's sound test if that's more convenient. Any way you look at it it'll be very time consuming... I'd sooner track down OSTs.
