The Ninja Gaiden series are the most awesome series I've ever played on the NES. I just love this game but I can't finish it, never did and it seems I'll never will. When I get to the final boss it takes me back to the beginning of stage 6-1. It goes all the way to stage 6-6!! I have the Powerpak so I'm pretty happy to play it on a real hardware that's why I want to ask: Can somebody hack the rom and add a fair continue to the last stage of the game?
I've disassembled NG before so this is no problem. Rather than post a patch or a ROM, only a Game Genie code is needed. ZOIVAL With this when you die on the series of Bosses at the end you are sent back to 6-3, not 6-1. This will allow you to stock up on Chi and Ninja Arts to give the next boss another shot.
Hummm, not sure. I was thinking tha you had a list of them LoL. How did you found that one? And why can't you continue right from the boss?
Sorry for the delay. I didn't find the code. I have completed disassembled Ninja Gaiden and reverse engineered much of the program. Making the game genie patch code took me a minute to find the bit you were talking about and punching in the numbers to a Game Genie code Encoder. The problem with continuing right from the boss is each boss is a unique room. So sending you back 1 room when you die would send you back to the previous boss. Also that probably wouldn't be very nice. And I can't change that much with Game Genie codes. I could actually patch the game probably to allow you to continue right at the boss maybe, but I'm not interested in doing so. The code posted should give you a much better shot at it anyway.
You can do it. When i was in practice I could clear the entire game without dieing at all, and taking relatively little damage.
