Is there documentation on the nes or snes mini anywhere like flash chips and such?

I'm curious if the flash chips or chips containing the roms can be swapped out or reflashed with roms a user actually wants on it.

This is what I have come up with so far....apparently from my reading the emulator for the nes mini is compatible with particular nes mappers (circuit board layout for each particular game) now it also says you can replace the oem emulator with a 3rd party one....it also says here that PAL nes mini actually runs ntsc....and to stick with ntsc and jp roms if you are going to use the oem emulator. Apparently the oem emulator it's self runs on Linux......

Read here for further info if you would like

Now I'm curious if we can just replace the oem emulator entirely with something far more versatile then this crappy limited oem emulator....nester perhaps? I know it says it runs retroarch but I feel more inclined to stick soul with a complete nes rom library on the nes mini and the same concept for the snes also
