On my nesrgb modded av famicom im getting a issue with sound, it seem that sound effects in the games are causing the music to play out of key at the moment the sound effect occurs. Also when using a everdrive and adaptor music can be cut off by a sound effect. any ideas? EDIT: i just tried getting sound off the cpu to the nesrgb board then out using a 3.5mm jack with the same result (was just using the multi out before). Also directly from the cpu to 3.5mm with no change. I suspect the famicom but i cant be certain since now i realise i didn't thoroughly test it before the install. All i did when i got it was turn it on to see if it played games and the sound was present, it didn't occur to be that this kind of issue could happen and haven't been able to find another reference to it happening before. Only option left is to reinstall the ppu to rule out the rgb board i guess............. EDIT: welp.... that was easy, thought for some reason i needed to remove the pin header to get the ppu back in but it fits in snug. So i tested it out as stock on my 12'' pvm with its built in speakers and the music is still dropping tone and being cut off so i think "Its the nesrgb, i must have cooked it or something". Then i remember i have another AV famicom that i haven't touched, hook it up and its the same thing! Somehow all this time i have been playing on that little pvm (with the volume not quite low but not turned up loud because of the audio buzz) I hadn't noticed the sound behaving this way, not until i installed the board and had the sound running through my stereo. What i have been doing is going to the first stage in SMB3 and getting the leaf and spamming the tail, seems to trigger the music to do odd things. so uhh, this is normal right?
