LeGIt shared the Net Yaroze US/UK discs some time ago; now you can complete your collection with the Japanese discs.

Here are the 3 discs from the official Net Yaroze Japanese kit.
CD images were created with CloneCD, then compressed in 1 file with 7-zip.
You should use 7-zip (or another 7z compatible packer/unpacker) to extract the contents of each file. Each 7z file contains a folder with the 4 files created by CloneCD.

DTL-S3030 - Net Yaroze Boot Disc - for the PlayStation
This is the disc with which you have to boot your Net Yaroze in order to be able to "play" your applications/games developed on the PC. This is CIP 1.0, contrary to US/UK version which is CIP 2.0. Not sure if/which are the differences. On-screen text is in english.
This requires the Net Yaroze Access Card to complete the boot. The Access Card is not a regular memory card, and so far cannot be cloned/emulated. You can try the GameShark code that is out there which bypasses Access Card check with the US/UK Boot Disc; however it may not work on this Japanese Boot Disc.
The Access Card is the same for both US/UK and Japanese kits.

DTL-S3040 - Net Yaroze Software Development Kit - for the PC
This disc includes "everything" you need to start developing for the PlayStation using your Net Yaroze Japanese kit.
I put "everything" in quotes, because contrary to the US/UK counterpart, the PDF files here are missing (not because of a bad dump). The image was created from an original CD, and it was verified everything is like on the CD.

    Lightwave 3D 4.0
3D modeler. This was an optional purchase for Net Yaroze Japanese members (and AFAIK a pretty expensive one). It has a Parallel port based dongle protection; if you don't have such dongle it will NOT work.
I do NOT know how to bypass it/crack it (and I don't think it would be accepted by the forum mods/admins), so please do NOT request such a thing.

I'll see if I can add pictures of the CDs later, though you should be able to find them quite easily via your favorite search engine.

    Enjoy! ^_^

PS: Those of you who have a GameShark/Action Replay/Codebreaker/Xplorer/Xploder for PS1, you can use the following GameShark codes to bypass the Net Yaroze Access Card check (works for sure on the US/UK version; not tested in the Japanese version):
    8006FF90 0000
    8006FF92 0000
    8006FF88 0000
    8006FF8A 0000
When using these codes, it will first say "Access Card... Not Found" and after some 20 to 30 seconds it'll change to "Access Card... OK" (or "Found"); just be patient!

    PSS: Here's a "Bonus"...
I you don't have the Access Card required to use the Boot CD (i.e. lost it), here's a cracked version of the US/UK Boot CD:

Note: Some users said this image is NOT working on their PS1.
If you experience the same, or prefer to go with another image, here's one fixed by Avanaboy:
    http://www.megaupload.com/?d=9T44WZ1F

DISCLAIMER: I'm posting the cracked versions for archival/educational/preservation purposes as well as for people that lost their Access Card and do NOT want to pay USD 50 (that's the current price in eBay).
This cracked version was found in a different side and we are not responsible if it does not work, ruins your console, PC, life, etc. The same goes for the version fixed by Avanaboy (he just fixed the licensing of the disc, he did not modify anything in the files). If something does not work, you're free to ask around, but you may or may not get an answer, deal with it! Use at your own risk...

I'm glad you like the upload; however it's no use without the hardware dongle... although I recently read about dongle emulators, though I do not know if they exist/work with this app.

There is always a way to hack into programs.

I will see what I can do. But I reckon a cracker could easily find the line of code that detects it or not. Then, edit it.

I don't want to get into the subject, mainly because it may not be welcome in this forum, but most hardware protections are harder to crack than just a line of code. From what I read they are definitely harder than regular cd-key/serial and other widely used protections.
Also, there are a variety of dongles with different functionality, and some are far harder to crack/emulate than others.

But then again, this is an old app. I'm sure it's either been cracked before, or there are dongle emulators that would allow usage without the actual dongle.

This is not directly related to the topic but its still net yaroze related so...

I dont remember where or when, but I remember reading that the yaroze console, dtl-h300x, has its own propietary format/code or whatever that other debug/test ps1's cannot run. Is this true? Or can a blue/green debug ps1 do everything a black yaroze can, and more? (by more I mean run backups) Should I be able to boot the yaroze disc in a blue/green/modded retail and use it with the access card and serial cable in place of the dtl-h300x?

AFAIK the Net Yaroze (the console itself) is the same as the retail PS without the region lockout.
I remember reading that (if there was any) debugging functions were present in the serial cable itself (thus the big size of it).
I haven't had time to try yet, but the Yaroze Boot discs are supposed to boot on any PS worldwide, since their license information (in the disc; i.e. the license.dat used) is indeed worldwide.

I have booted the Yaroze image posted by LeGIt in a modded PS, both using the Access Card and with the GameShark codes that bypasses the need for the access card; however at that time I didn't have a way of connecting the PS to my PC to verify communication between them (and try sending some executables to the PS), but I don't see why it wouldn't work.

OK that crack I got does not work.

    I found this site
    http://members.fortunecity.com/kalmar666/
However, he explains that it is an EEPROM that actually has the data on it. I mean, it makes sence as the PROGRAMS directory is only 2MB...

    Ah well. This sucks.

The most useful difference is 8 MB RAM on the Net Yaroze.

The Net Yaroze itself (the console) has 2 MB RAM (plus 1.5 for Audio+Video). Not sure if the serial cable itself provides additional RAM, but if it does it is probably used only for debugging.

Interesting... Is the serial cable used for anything other than the yaroze kit? was it ever used by real developers for anything, or with any other sdk?

Also the yaroze boot disc does not work in a retail ps1. Only the yaroze. Should work in another debug though...The net yaroze is the only ps1 debug I have to test it on though.

lThe boot disc works in debug units.
The serial cable can be used with the official SDK, there is a tool called PCDOWN for PC/DOS and Indy/Irix.

I'm pretty sure the Yaroze has the same RAM amount as the retail units.
The serial cable is just that, a serial cable, you can build it yourself if you want.

Im not sure if I should post this, but I found a site with a bunch of yaroze us/uk downloads like the boot disc. It's cracked so it does not need a boot dongle.

Post it. It is rare software. The PlayStation era was over years ago and Sony would not care anyway...

Apart from that, it is all useful for the PS SD card system I am developing. I will personally thank everyone when the project is completed, for all there help, as well as offer a discount for them.

    @unclejun
Thanks a lot for the PCDOWN utility!

Those of you who have a GameShark/Action Replay/Codebreaker/Xplorer/Xploder for PS1, you can use the following GameShark codes to bypass the Net Yaroze Access Card check (works for sure on the US/UK version; not tested in the Japanese version):
    8006FF90 0000
    8006FF92 0000
    8006FF88 0000
    8006FF8A 0000

When using these codes, it will first say "Access Card... Not Found" and after some 20 to 30 seconds it'll change to "Access Card... OK" (or "Found"); just be patient!

I also have the Net Yaroze Boot CD cracked (only the US/UK, not the japanese that I posted here) somewhere, I have to find it within my HDDs. It was widely available online some years ago, now it seems to be a bit more difficult to find. If I find it, I'll post it.
