Hi all i want to buy a new case as my current one got a little destroyed :crying: and i didnt really like it. The coolermaster scout below Im trying to decide between the Corsair 600t corsair 650d or Lian Li PC-60FNWB Open to other ideas Thanks
Avoid the 600t if your gfx card runs hot and demands lots of air. No side fan to supply air to it makes things get hot. If you have the money for the 650D go for that. There is no other option pretty much. I've always been partial to the HAF series and when I get some spare cash thats going to be my upgrade out of this cheap OEM case I got (its OEM but VERY well built for airflow.)
i think there all about equal on side venteraltion, i like the haf cases feature wise but not the styling i like things to look simple
I'd get the 600T as it isn't too bad of a case and its low profile (looks) but very sexy. but I'm scared to death of heat just killing everything. My favourite things about the HAF series are you get great airflow, great looks at an affordable price. Excellent bang for the buck
All the cases you showed are heavy and pointless unless you water cool really. Why spend so much on what is basically a metal box you put a motherboard into with six screws?
This. Does it really really matter? A cheap ass case with holes for the right fans in the right places will do. Will be pretty pointless in the long run anyway if you keep your tower near to that speaker.
well unfortunatly i cant put my tower anywhere else theres about a foot between them. need a bigger room lol or atleast a shelf for my speakers lol. its been like that for the last 2 years lol i wonder how long its shaved off the life of my pc
If you like cases that look simple try Fractal Design, build quality is good to. http://www.fractal-design.com/
i do like fractal-design cases, when i looked they didnt seem to be able to accommodate my grathics card
Coming from the guy who bought a Atari Jaguar case on ebay because it was white..... (im just kidding with you. please don't be offended or take it personal. just friendly "Ribbing" is all)
How about a solid box, take off the fans add extra long cables and then just fill it with motor oil? Nice and quiet. Heavy as fuck though.
lawl na i thought about that before a long time ago, still not decided re looking at fracture design again
Silverstone raven 2/3 if you can get a cheap deal or http://www.scan.co.uk/products/silv...with-side-window-aluminium-door-front-w-o-psu as said above unless you going for looks or liquid cooling there aint much point in the cases you chose even though the 650d is tasty
that silverstone case was horrible im sorry to say, im still thinking i cleaned my case out earlier of the 2cm's worth of dust at the bottom of it, im still looking may buy a new case in august or September 650d and the 600t are the top of the list right now
If I had the funds to build my Virtual machine server, I'd use this case: LanBoy Air: Has front and side access to all the RAID/Normal HDD's you could ever want to swap in. Keeps each device suspended in mid air to keep air flow around them, and drives can be mounted front facing or side facing (Since you have 2 door access). Lots of fans and other stuff so you can cram all your devices in. Has two handles so you can easily move your server around to where you need it to go. If I can get a server like this, I'll centralise all my computing there, and just make virtual machines for whatever work I need to get done.
like the idea but aparently the lanboys are very badly made and the antec cases ive been in contact with before dont seem very well layout
ok i decided on the case i want, i have picked this one http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=CA-012-FD will be buying it in late september thanks guys
Hm looks like Antec P182 clone. Price will be the same, hope you will be lucky with it. By the way, im selling my Antec P182 case with very good fans ;-).
