After all those (way too many) rumors, Id also say a piece of hardware, to play games...maybe connected to project stream ? 5 days to go.
I see targeted ads, more invasion of privacy, and one hell of a ride. God speed Google, make this interesting.
Google Fibre package plan included with purchase of the deluxe package Would you buy it if that was an offer?
I think it may be a console to play games by streaming, like the Nvidia Shield. I don't know your opinion guys, however, I think that streaming will be the future of gaming, see what microsoft is doing on the project X-Cloud, play xbox one games with full power on an android phone! I think this is amazing! Imagine Netflix of Games, you pay a monthly fee and play whatever games you want. I am ok with this. I know, sometimes you like to own your console, your games, I still love the times of Super Nintendo and Nintendo 64, I would purchase many games, and collect the boxes on my closet, I used to love spend hours reading the instruction booklets of these game cartridges, get something physical is very cool aswell, however, streaming can be also a cheaper and faster way to play games. You don't have to upgrade your pc to experience the most recent awesome FPS Game because it will not run on your shitty Nvidia GTS360M DirectX 9 D that's my rig). I am hoping for streaming become the future of gaming. And what are your thoughts guys? Cheers
Nope. If gaming goes all streaming I'm out. I have Netflix, I get the convenience, but the whole 'experience' is just a big "meh" for me.
YES, please collect more info from me google. You already have all the photos on my phone, all my search history, all my locations, camera and recorder access, passwords, and metadata. Get my gaming usage stats for MORE targeted ads too! omg +1 Sadly, its headed this way. The used market is gonna balloon I think, as streaming becomes the way of the land.
Google Telescreen™ ? I prefer to own my games, so physical copies or GOG, Steam is the lesser evil because if it will be about to go down at least i can crack the games and even Valve promised to release SteamAPI crack/emulator in that case. Now in the case of streaming - they pull the plug and you lose your games forever. Also people argue about input lag in emulators or related to LCD displays. If we talking about streaming it will have waaay higher input lag and also direct output of video chip isn't the same quality as compressed MPEG stream. Not to mention that i was talking about big cities with good internet. And there are rural areas and small towns far from large cities which often have garbage internet in all big countries.
It would be nice to have at least one part of our lives where bloody Google is not involved/controlling. It’ll be interesting to see what developers get paid/have to pay to get on the platform, let alone users... This stuff ain’t going to be cheap to run, even for Google and they’ll want to turn a profit fast. Being at the mercy of a subscription for music and video fine. For games? Ergghhh if the pricing was good news they would’ve shared it during the presentation.
I'm with everyone else, streaming is a no-go for me. Remember when Steam tried to do all that streaming stuff? Yeah, me neither. Probably China
