I freaking love the Cruis'n series of games. Or at least I did back in the day.

    So

Control = Excite truck style (might be okay... but even in excite truck it needed to be more refined)
Graphics = not very good, however new screens show that they are horrendous

But, the feeling that Midway really hasn't pushed this game at all has really gotten to me... What else really does midway have to push..if not one of their key franchises for the hardcore?
Therefore my logic says its not going to be a "Cruis'n game". Just a mere ugly game to cash in on the Cruis'n name.

    What does everyone else think?

because it looks just like the old cruis'n games did...back on the N64. It's utter shit compared to the burnout type games today. This looks like it belongs on a DS.

Wow, you can steer with the wiimote, because you know, the controls in any cruis'n game weren't shitty enough with a normal controller.

This is exactly where some people thought the wii would be going. The success of the console in sales is transformed into being lucky enough to get "exclusives" like this shit. It's just a cash in game to get money from the people who buy minigames in bulk. It'll certainly sell, probably better than some ps3 and 360 games.

Well the level has a higher poly count, and the fog isnt at 30ft in front of the car as it used to be in the N64.

And BTW I DO have to pick up a new pair of glasses next week, not funny bro:-(

Are you guys even looking at the same pictures as me? Don't say shit looks like DS or N64 when that's clearly bullshit. Yes the game doesn't look like 360 or PS3 level of detail, but for the GC/Wii, it's not bad looking at all.

Why does this game remind me of that Fast and Furious game?

no, I'm looking at the actual promotional video game clip they have on that website. It looks like and early N64 game. Even the gamecube could do xbox quality Burnout graphics. I even had one of the need for speed games on the gamecube that looked far better than this.

It looks like that, and still costs $29.99.

I agree with motzilla... Here's a comparision using similar screens from the N64 title versus the Wii one.

You're looking and focusing on pics, while I was commenting on how it looked in live action, with that video. It looks like n64 cartoony racing.

Well then agree to disagree. It's yet another Midway cash in on a franchise name, like they did with LA Rush. This looks like ass, and still costs $29.99. I know it looks better than n64. I was playing one of these n64 game on my computer the other day. I'm just exaggerating to make the point of how bad this looks, even on a Wii.

I think it's their art style though. Clean cartoonish/warm look opposed to the gritty dark realistic. I do agree Burnout looks much better. But consider the way Wii is aimed and the art choice isn't surprising. Wether it's a cheap cash in type game will have to wait for you to try it. I can't say I'm interested but really it doesn't look any worse than any other Wii game.
