    Hello,

Over the past year, I have been gathering dev kits for classic consoles from around the net, fixing them up to get them in a working state, and then wrote small game samples for each. The samples will compile out of the box.
    You can find them at

    http://sebastianmihai.com/ccd

I am currently up to 14 different systems.

    Enjoy!

Interesting the thing about razor blades. You'd have to be awfully delicate to remove the ink, but that's a smart move. Besides, kids nowadays are pampered.

Not like in Romania. You walk down the streets and get mugged by a pack of dogs with no recourse but to bite them back.

Are there no homebrew games or compilers for the others, like Neo Geo Pocket Color, Atari XEGS, Intellivision?

There are, but they were built using assembly language. (or I couldn't find a C, or Basic-based dev kit for that platform :) ).
My main criterion for adding a platform and a game for it is that I shouldn't have to use assembly.

I've actually found a C-based dev kit for Neo Geo Pocket Color in the mean time and am currently writing a game for it.

I have just added a new homebrew game on Neo Geo Pocket Color (NGPC). The game is called NGCollector, and it simulates the life of a Neo Geo collector! :)

Read more about it at http://sebastianmihai.com/main.php?t=63

Always good to see new dev sites spring up, particularly if they cover a multitude of sins - much easier to find info that way!

Well done, and keep up the good work!

That's amazing! Truly impressive. You should be very proud of yourself. I don't think I'd ever be able to do all that.
What was your favorite system to develop for? And your least?

Thank you, but I think the real heroes are the ones who created the SDKs many years ago!
Least favourite is a tie between Virtual Boy and Atari Lynx. The VB just didn't inspire me at all, and the Lynx required a lot of work to set-up and start working.
Favourite is Neo Geo Pocket Color. The SDK is surprisingly powerful and intuitive, and I am a Neo Geo fan!

    Thanks :)
@Headcrab: I like the challenge you've set for yourself. Keep at it, looks great!

By the way, if anyone knows of someone, or some website that can create cartridges for other systems (NES, SNES, Sega, etc.), give me a shout.
