Is it possible to use the Zeebo download service outside of Brazil?

Probally not; since the zeebo only connects with 3G.

we are however long LONG over due for a new Double Dragon. Its one of the few classics to go unspoiled by 3d.

What was the Last DD game? the GBA remake?

Why do you people keep forgetting that the brazilian guys were convicted in playing master system till last year. The fact that they moved on to zeebo with the economy they have is a very positive fact. I hope zeebo sells well. If zeebo actually does sell well we will see better things from brazil in the console market. And not the cellphone games you are mentioning.
It is sad to see people having a good laugh over not powerful consoles while it is easy to understand that for brazil the ps3 era hasnt come yet.
If i was a brazilian guy i would be totally satisfied with zeebo...

The problem is that the price is insane. Any kid in Brazil knows what a PlayStation, Wii, Xbox are. They read game magazines, acess gaming websites.... PS3, Wii, Xbox360 are expensive yes, but you can get a PS2 for about the same price of that Zeebo. Plus, you can buy a PS3, Wii, X360 in big stores that let's you pay the console in 12 or more divided payments.

I'm brazilian and i make fun of that. Tectoy is nowhere near the same company they used to be till 1997. Plus the Zeebo is a product of Quallcomm. Quallcomm bought 50% of Tectoy, so they could be "partners" on the Zeebo.
The MegadrivePortable Tectoy released was just a chinese thing that could be easily found everywhere else for half the price. They're now gonna release the new one with SD card slot. Again this is avaiable everywhere (including Play-Asia) for half the price they are asking.

The Zeebo has terrible controls (sometimes it lags), and 90% of those games are avaiable on any cellphone avaiable on the market. And believe me, people here in Brazil loves having the latest cellphone technology. People ask why i still have a SE K750 that it's 3 years old. And even that can play all those Zeebo games.

Again, we are not comparing those Master Systems, Mega Drive and the Zeebo with the latest consoles. That would be dumb. But how can you expect to people to buy your product when it's too expensive (has another product on the market with the same price and more modern) and has converted games from cellphones?

Damn the Fifa game that comes with it is so terrible they didn't made the Brazilian clubs jerseys right!

The Master System and Mega Drive used to a great product (specially for collectors), since they had real boards and cartridge inputs. Then Tectoy, got rid of the cartrige input and the real boards were replaced by "emulator on a chip". The manufacturing price was probably 1/4 of what used to be, but the retail price continues the same.

Tectoy even used roms avaiable on the internet! Two known translation teams proved that Tectoy used their translations on the Master System. So here's a company using a rom (withouth the rights to do so), and not giving credit for it's translation to brazilian portuguese.

Honestly, Tectoy is just like those companies that sell Famiclones. The difference is that Tectoy ask way too much for their cheap products...
