Since I developed the DreamPi software, and have been playing around with various other Dreamcast related things (VMU emulator, G2 bus, DreamArena auth etc.) I've been asked by several people for information on things that I've mentioned here and elsewhere. As a result I thought it might be a good idea to start consolidating technical information on the Dreamcast into a central location. I mean things like the protocols to online services, how the G2 BUS works, the VMU assembly language, etc. etc. Just purely technical information that already exists on various sites. I figured the best way to do this was to set up a Wiki, so that's what I've done: http://dreamcast.wikidot.com/ I intend to pad it out with the things I've discovered, but it would be cool for anyone with some knowledge of the Dreamcast hardware to dump what they know in there too.
It may be a good idea to archive all of the development tools out there. Primarily all the community made tools/utilities like for selfbooting etc. A lot of that stuff goes back to it's launch. And after awhile it may be extremely difficult to find them Sometimes when you're really researching some Dreamcast stuff you need to use the internet archive to find information/files. Eventually the sites linking to places that require the archive will no longer be on the surface internet either. Making a lot of information lost and buried beneath growing years of the internet It may be a good idea also to find those archived links to add as references for various sections
