I hope some day that the members of ASSEMbler, with all their development software and knowledge, will come together and create a game. A game so good, it is hailed GoTY by fanboys everywhere. Alas, that will never happen...or will it?
Don't think that will ever happen since so few actually do things with the stuff we collect. Besides, everyone has different styles, priorities, and definately conflicts of interest.
If I had a dev unit I'd at least try to put it to use... but I have none :smt009 At one point several members decided to create an Assembler game, but it didn't get any further than Hawanja doing some sketches, I would love to resurrect the project though :smt045
Anytime, anyplace, anywhere, I'm all over it. Why don't we do something simple, like a Flash game? Something like Alien Homonid?
Sadly I'm an absolute n00b with Flash - all I can do is "regular" programming. Flash seems like a quick way to get something good done, though :smt023
I think the game should be a shmup! And I wanna design some of the bosses! Just educate me on flash or whatever and I will be all over it, too.
Some sites have forums where the mods throw all of the locked threads. Assembler could also have a "Shit shack" as timecircuits does... :smt043 A political forum would also keep decesnt threads from being locked. Hasnt happened much lately, but still is a possibilty.
