I was browsing a Chinese web site and I found quite a lot of previously unheard Genesis games. One or two seem to be translations of existing Japanese games, but other games look quite new. I don't know Chinese, but thanks to an online dictionary I was able to read the games' titles. Here they are:

Cheng Ji Si Han II (Genghis Khan 2)
Feng Kuang Tao Hua Yuan/ Feng Kuang Tao Hua Yuan (Yong Sheng)
    Gang Du Shao Nian
    Hang Kong Ba Ye II
    Hei Tao 2
    Meng Huan Zhi Xing 2
    Sheng Zhan Feng Yun
Shi San Zhang Ma Jiang 98 Mei Shao Nu (Strip Mahjong game)
Tai Ge Li Zhi Chuan Zhong Wen Ban
VIXEN357 Yong Sheng Yi Hua Ban (Vixen 357)
Wu Kong Wai Chuan (Apparently based on Journey to the West)
    Wu Shu Shen Jie
Xin Chuang Shi Ji Yong Sheng Yi Hua Ban
Xin Guang Ming Yu Hei An 3 Gu Dai Feng Yin

For those interested, I found them here: http://www4.emu-zone.org/j2c/web/Index.asp?CateID=5&SubCateID=100

Now... are these "new" dumps. Could somebody help here with the translation of the titles.

Wow, nice find. Thank you so much for posting that link but it maybe going against the rules of the forum. Some of those games are just Chinese translations of Japanese games such as langrisser and Phatasy Star II but some seem to be Chinese originals and they are the interesting ones.

Does GoodGen recognize any of these? If not, someone should submit them.

Half of the games are just Japanese games translated in to Chinese. Some don't even work in Gens or KGEN.

Yeah, some of them have a strange extension .mdx; I don't know what programs can open these files... Any ideas?

I've opened all of the games with Winrar. Inside the rar files are bin files but they just won't play.

The .bin files are easy, just rename them to roman characters and they work in Gens.

The .mdx files were a bit trickier. You need to grab a specific Chinese emulator (here), and I still needed to rename the ROMs. On both the .mdx files I got, the SEGA boot logo has been replaced, so I guess they're either recent ROM hacks intended for emulator use, or were designed to run on unlicensed hardware only.

So, a small update to the games listed on the chinese site:

    Original games:
Feng Kuang Tao Hua Yuan/ Feng Kuang Tao Hua Yuan [Yong Sheng] (Original - Board Game)
Hei Tao 2 (aka Super Big 2 - Original - Card Game)
Shi San Zhang Ma Jiang 98 Mei Shao Nu (Original - Strip Mahjong game)
Tai Ge Li Zhi Chuan Zhong Wen Ban (apparently an original game, similar to Langrisser)
Wu Kong Wai Chuan (Original - Based on Journey to the West)

    Translations:
Cheng Ji Si Han II (Chinese version of Genghis Khan 2)
Gang Du Shao Nian (Chinese version of Traysia)
Hang Kong Ba Ye II (Chinese version of Aerobiz Supersonic)
Meng Huan Zhi Xing 2 (Chinese version of Phantasy Star 2)
Sheng Zhan Feng Yun (Chinese version of Bahamut Senki)
VIXEN357 Yong Sheng Yi Hua Ban (Chinese version of Vixen 357)
Wu Shu Shen Jie (Chinese version of Sorcerer's Kingdom)
Xin Chuang Shi Ji Yong Sheng Yi Hua Ban (Chinese version of Ragnacenty)
Xin Guang Ming Yu Hei An 3 Gu Dai Feng Yin (Chinese version of Shining Force 2)

5 original games... not bad considering nobody had heard about them before. So, could somebidy submit these games to be added to goodgen?
