http://image.com.com/gamespot/images/2005/137/921496_20050518_screen002.jpg OMFG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And ARC IS IN IT!!! (But it makes no sense at all, imo. I better get a good explanation...) Along with EVERY Arc character EVER in it as well! This new game has just 1 new guy, and everyone else from Arc 1 up to Twilight is in it. Also has a Tales of Symphonia type battle system as well... Even though he "dies" in the end of Twilight, I bet you anything the last boss will be the dark one, AGAIN, but this game actually has me excited! Anyone else? http://www.gamespot.com/ps2/rpg/arctheladgeneration/index.html http://ps2.ign.com/objects/690/690399.html?fromint=1 I'll tell you one thing, if you can catch monsters with Lieza on this game like in Arc 2, I will fall in love with it.
Wow, someone is apparently a *really* big A-t-L fan... I actually just bought the first PS2 game, haven't even opened it yet. I don't own collection, should I buy/play that before the PS2 title?
Dude, you are seriously missing out on a great game. If you have the PS2 title, get Collection. It will give you some backstory for the PS2 title, and some of it wouldnt make sense if you didnt play all 3 before it. Truthfully, I didnt care much for Arc the lad 3 or Twilight, but if End of Darkness is so prodigious that all the characters from 1 on up finally join up against some threat, I believe it will be an awesome game. End of Darkness might mean they kill the Dark one and he actually stays dead, for good. I thought it was finally over with 4, but I guess not. BTW, Arc the lad 2 is worth the $70 alone, Imo. Expect~250 hours on the whole collection (including Arc Arena for me) and 55-75 hours on the PS2 game. End of Darkness might be even longer with so many characters in it. EDIT: BTW (Again), you probably will *NEED* to play all of collection and Twilight before you play End of Darkness.
I'm a big fan or Arc too. I'm definitely going to pick this game up when it comes out. I loved the whole collection as just one big game. I never really touched Arc Monster Arena because I really didnt' concentrate on catching monsters that much in Arc 2. The collection still goes for $50 at most stores, sometimes used, sometimes brand new. I wonder if it will let you transfer the old saves of Twilight into the new game and unlock extras..... like CHOCO!!!
Maybe, but that would make it too easy, since Maru, Kharg, and Darc on my file are all-powerful. BTW, catching monsters in Arc 2 is real fun, and you can use them to help fight with you!!! And using them in Arc Arena is VERY fun for me, and you unlock special items that can be transferred back to Arc 2!!! You also can "EXTREME" level, if you have Super Choko with her strongest spell and fight in the "Pit" on tournament with several other characters. I have effectively gotten 5 or 6 characters to level 1000 that way, and it is quite fun to own everyone in a battlefield in 5 or 10 seconds.
Damn. How fast did it take you to beat the "evil eye", the final boss. Luckily, all my characters, especially those I transfered from Arc1 where at very high levels, especially Choko and she was the one that helped in kicking his ass.
2 or 3 hits for Arc (He is all I used during both fights) during the first part, and 4 or 5 hits for the second part, and if Im lucky he will perform a counterrattack every time he is attacked. I also gave Arc all the strongest equipment, and most of it can be won with Arc Arena. If they put Arc Arena Online, I probably would be #1 with my team. Arc level 1000 Elc Level 1000 Behemoth monster level 1000 Super Choko level 1000 and Diekbeck I forgot to mention that Diekbecks experience divider is very useful in Arc Arena for beefing up weak characters. My plan was to get Choko to critically injure a very high level enemy, have Arc, Elc, and the Dragon to hurt it a tad more, they do just the right amount of damage combined to leave Diekbeck with the final kill, and lather, rinse, repeat. Your characters will get some EXp, and Diekbeck can automatically bring someone up 50 levels per 1000 level enemy he kills. BTW, once the enemies levels go up into the 3 or 4 hundreds and they start getting thousands of HP, it gets VERY, VEEEERRRRY hard, even if you are 50 or 100 levels above them. Choko at level 1000 is the only character that can handle level 1000 enemies. The rest of my guys die too easily, but that does manage to keep challenge in the game. I might take some pics of the screen to show you my army of monsters and knights, too
:happyhap: :smt023 :ramen :smt030 :smt033 :-D :douga :drinkers: :smt045 :dance :boobies2 OH YEAH!!! I just watched a movie of Arc the lad end of Darkness, and it cut to a battle scene in which Lieza yells "Ravish!" (the name of her monster catching spell in ARC the lad 2) and lassos a monster!!!!!!! That confirms that monster catching is back and better than ever. I already love this game, and I havent even played it, yet!
