Has anyone seen this in person yet -- or live nearby enough to take a field trip to play it?

Apparently it's at SEGA Joypolis. There are 3 different units, each with a different REAL car in front of a 90 inch screen. I'd love to see some in-cabin shots, and hear how it plays.

I wonder if this is a remodelled version of what was the Ford simulator they had. That is if this is in the Joypolis at Daiba. Sounds about right but if I recall that was 4 cars..... either way I would love to have a bash at this.

That is pretty awesome. Do the cars move along with the game, or do they just sit there?

Looks like they are mounted in the air but the wheels will be free to turn (not spin). I think.

"Odaiba". Not that far... but I definitely can't make the trip. Not much into racing games.

I thought it was Odaiba, but Joypolis's website had the address listed as:
    1-6-1 Daiba Minato-ku Tokyo

Which made me second guess myself.

The cars probably move like the Sega Rally ones did. If the game is based on the New Initial D 4 then it's going to play pretty poor. I just don't like the new game. now Namco's Midnight Run maximum Tune 3 is great !! Yeah, it's just an extention of the 2nd game but now it's got a new kick arse OST with 3 car battles ! Bit easy mind you. I finished it with only loosing 1 race

The address could be one thing, but the area is definitely Odaiba (as stated in the first sentence on the link above) ;)
