Looks like an interesting new project is being developed for 5th/6th gen consoles. So far it is coming to PSX, DC, PS2 and GC/Wii. Hopefully it comes to more systems like the original Xbox as well.

It seems to scale very well on each demo he showed off. Hopefully this will be useful for Indie DC developers and homebrew alike.

More details can be seen on the thread linked below at DCEmulation.

I've been in talks with the dev . He's looking for help with the DC portion.

For anyone technical and curious it uses his own raw pvr rendering techniques.

Currently pushing about 18k -27k poly a frame.

I declined to help at the moment because I'm too busy but I'd like to check it out

Well it's using from what I breifly read his own interpretation of the pvr API, unsure of where ou how the knowledge was obtained.

The performance is ok but as he 9∅and I have mentioned it's early and there's certainly room for improvement. Also from what I saw currently the lib is focused on working and not performance.

    Pipelining and reorganising would help.

Also of note his actual rendering pipeline didn'td seem to require Kos so if you want tiny tiny 3d rendering this could be an option .

No clue if any of that rambling answered your question

Here is a nice little update on what we can expect with some of the 2D capabilities in a new demo video.
