Payment received December 4th. Item shipped December 5. PayPal sends me a notice that the bank has reversed the charges.....on December 15. I actually knew about it since he's a long-time customer. He sent me an email saying he made a mistake with a deposit and that there might be a problem. But jeeze...it took eBay 10 days to figure it out and reverse the payment? Seems like a nice way to scam since obviously Sellers aren't going to wait 10+ days to ship an item.
If you tried that, the seller would file a dispute with PP, then PP would freeze (then cancel) your account. So if you do, I suggest going for the most expensive item on your wish list first since it'll probalby only work once (which is still one more time than it should work). On another note, be thankful they sent you a notice at all. I've filed a dispute before, and the number of messages I got from PP during the whole process was zero. Turned out allright nevertheless, but I found the lack of any communication whatsoever really disturbing.
guys, honestly... this is one of several threads here all complaining about paypal. I know paypal are a bunch of retards, have been scammed for several thousand usd, therefor I am only using moneybookers and bank transfer. btw, ebay are a bunch of retards too.
I actually got scammed this way (someone buying a laptop from me via ebay). Haven't used ebay or paypal since.
Im getting more and more frustrated with ebay and paypal in general, the lack of communication is crazy. granted I know there a huge company but still. People will easily take advantage of this sort of loophole, yet they do little to try to stop it.
