http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Sony-PSP-Deve...?pt=Console&hash=item3f04dc46b8#ht_500wt_1156 On there, it says Sony will stop selling PSP Dev units from the 15th of November. Could this possibly be making way for the new Dev units?
I don't think they're going to stop production of PSP Dev Units until maybe a year or two after the PSP2 comes out. If they were to stop production now when no successor or newer devkits are being made, then many developers could get locked out of PSP Development (unless Sony were to start some refurb market).
SCEE (and ONLY SCEE) can't sell DevKits at the moment (SCEA and SCEI still can and do) because the EU certification of the device has expired and they don't want to put out the money for a re-cert YET. They still have tons of DevKits and if demand is high enough they will re-cert and sell again.
Yeah, that blurry "i want to be a picture" thing where you can see exactely: NOTHING. C'mon ever mobile phone out there makes better snaps than that.... ....but ppl want to be fooled, so what.
sony not make other psp dev kits... only other limited edition, but dev kits no... the same as ps3 development tool (only new model DECR-1400A) but the 1° kit are out of sale, and this (my auction of that PSP) is same out of pruduction (SCEE or SCEA not make other kits, exept the DTP-T3000A (the last released) for that reason not must sell the old kit if want to develop games, sony send you the 3000A the other kit is very hard to get... regards.
That is total crap, I hope no one falls for that. a) SCEA still produces and sells PSP devkits (ask them!) b) SCEE has a huge pile of devkits in store for loaning and the such, they just can't sell them ATM due to certification expiration c) If you'd be honest to the ppl you want to rip off (your prices are way to high!) you'd post the FULL quote that continues with saying they will re-cert and continue selling PSP devkits in SCEE terretory if the demand is high enough. ALso showing you have not the slightest clues about what you're talking: DTP.T1000, -T2000 anf -T3000 are essentially the very same TOOL, they are ALL T1000s, it even says "T1000" on the TOOL itself. Only difference is the Commander Unit and the H200 is still for sale at SCEE. Please stop spreading BS just to justify your rip-off prices. // EDIT: BTW, isn't it somewhat impersonation to call yourself "scedevnet"? I wonder what the original SCE DevNet would say to that.... And about prices: The last PSP TOOLs went for 400eu to 600eu on eBay.... so, if you offer me one for, lets say, 500eu, I'd take it right away. but no for 850+eu.... Also, you do know you're not supposed to sell the SDK, yes?
First, I must say Hellcat has done this post in fine form. He is right on ALL POINTS. I can't believe someone would sink as low as to NOT BE HONEST when the fact are known! All this has to do is that the EU elecronics certification ran out on the T1000A (which IS what all T2000A / T3000A are, with different commanders...) I however know that in the North American Territory, I can buy devkits today. If anyone is being ripped off, let it be known that: T3000A brand new BOXED: less than you'd think. Also, Sony has HUGE stockpiles of all their devkits for loaning out, for instance they loan out PS3 debugs to miniS and PSN game developers for checking how things run... And they still produce them, and you can still buy them. The only devkits they don't make are PS2, though you CAN get them as loaners, and there are plenty of RPG companies still doing this and or they already own a T10k and / or a T15k. Enjoy the facts and DON'T GET RIPPED OFF. Just trying to be of service so people don't pay these RIDICULOUS prices I am hearing...hellcat's prices are right... 500eu and I'd snap it up too...
