I couldn't stand societies and there wasn't much out after sim city 4 (i.e city building games) that could be quite as good. Sure City Life was ok but still preferred Sim city and i am glad there is a new one coming out that actually looks like it will be a proper successor to 4.
i hope the choose to go for photorealistic buildings and real terain support from a service like google earth!...
Cities XL filled the gap in between 4 and this, I suggest you give it a look. But 4 was still awesome
It looks good but when it comes to the Sim games they do take their time and sometimes never deliver. I remember being a big fan of the Sims and they promised Sims Ville which never really came about. I will check this out next year if it comes.
I gave it a try... didn't like it mush it ended being a different experience from simcity, simcity 2000, simcity4...
Didn't like cities XL but it may have filled a gap for some. I just want this to be a proper sequel to SC4 as societies was crap. The only good thing about societies to me was that it looked decent graphically and i am hoping they do realistic graphics on the new one.
Sim city 2000, ahh good times. Got given it by my cousins when I was a little tacker. I spent hours on that game and had no idea what was going on. I just built heaps of rail systems XD
TBH I think 4 sucked too, 3000 was the last great simcity About the video I was hoping for some in-game footage since after sims2 maxis always overdoes it with the intros, making the game look way waaaay cooler than it really is Still thumbs-up, lets hope its no societies2
well after societies flopped so badly i think they'll go back to the roots! An online mode with a "populate the earth" mode would be soooooo cool!

Things seems VERY bad. T_T i saw the game play trailer and it's cartoonish and seems a rip off of spore-style buildings.... I hope enough people will make a mess and make them change idea.
Dude it could be worst: it could be yet another social f2p game where you have to pay ACTUAL MONEY for building and stuff Let alone getting your inbox full of spam, "kenny made a building!" "kenny's city was attacked by the fruitfucker! help him rebuild it (100 faceCORP credits)"
