I got one of these today at Tesco/Lotus in Bangkok for 299 Baht (EUR 7 / USD 9). Looks familiar? "most advanced entertainment system...." What's in the box... Front with two 9pin D-SUB ports, eject, reset and power button. Guess you figured it already, and yes, that's a NES cart slot. Back panel with audio, video, R/F and 5V DC port. Menu photo from CRT screen, 14-in-1 is built-in, cart slot is empty. Crappy CRT photo of Super Mario, it looks better than that. I haven't opened this masterpiece yet, but guessing it's a design built around a NOAC (NES On A Chip) of sorts. It works good so far, even the gun has pretty good accuracy.
Nice! Got the best Engrish on the back of the box, probably from someone smoking something stronger then a fag. "Plus stereo music...", er where from? Still looks great. I am still desperately hoping that someone does a Wii like Famiclone. Complete with crappy infra red pads and a sensor bar to put on top of your TV.
http://kotaku.com/gaming/fake-shit/this-wee-plays-dvds-300193.php This is the only rip-off Wii thing i`ve seen so far. I would really like one so if any of you in Japan come accross one let me know!
I've seen this already, being sold next to the original PSTwo. But it was called "PlayerSation 2 Slim" Pics:
NOAC systems now fit onto a board the size of a cigarette lighter, so expect clones of all shapes and sizes, filled mostly with air, to pop up from now on.
Don't be silly, the man obviously can't dress himself, how he going to cope with something that doesn't hold his hand while he plays. Anyone ever seen a Famiclone that looks like a Master System or a Dreamcast? I would love to see one that looks like an FM Towns Marty..

Here are the gut shots of my SLIM 2. It was probably the easiest console so far to disassemble, and no warranty seals to penetrate. ;-) There is an echo in here...hello, where are you? Ah, there... Two black epoxy blobs. Perhaps one blob covering the NOAC and one over the 14-in-1 ROM circuit. BTW: Super Mario is a great game! I really suck at it though, got a +55000 score and died at level 2-2 today after several attempts. Going to play more tonight...
Aren't the joystick ports the biggest giveaway of a clone system. At first glance, I thought it was a new PS2, until I saw the joystick ports, then it was obvious.
Nice! I've seen these for sale before but never seen one outside the box until now. The only problem with these famiclones with lid is that you cant fit a NES cart+adaptor
I once saw a full sized original ps2 nes system where the cartridges inserted right into the front once a small disc tray cover thing was removed. I believe it was a Polystation 2 or something like that.
Today I found that PlayerStation 2 Slim and one called Funstation 2 on a store, they look the same. I've taken a couple of pics, but I had to format last night and I don't have the cellphone drivers installed yet
They can make the slim station even slimmer then judging by the pics ! BTW that guy is sooooo off his face and that girl is so fake she looks like shes going to pop any second
Did it (sorry for the crappy pic, it's the best my phone can do): I don't have any pics of inside the box yet, but I've seen it and it's exactly the same, so you're not missing anything...
