I know I am new to these forums, been registered for a short bit now.

I see lots of familiar names on this forum so some of you may have seen my other post for my site.
I am mostly just trying to spread the word.

    http://pcenuggets.com/

I will be getting stuff hopefully all the time that people want and hopefully at reasonable prices. The main focus of the site is for repairs and modding but I decided to go the entire way and make parts, mods, cables, systems and games available.

I plan on having more content later on with supporting homebrews and any relevant TG16/PCE news. If you need/want something and it is not on the site hardware wise let me know and I will see what I can do for you. Software/Games I will post as I get more available.

Also, if you are outside of the US and are interested in anything please email me at pcenuggets@gmail.com

Nope, only if purchasing something is information required. Or if you want to comment on any of the blog posts. I don't have much info up yet besides an introduction to the site. So I would assume this would be a non-issue.

It's hardly fair to say no, suggesting he is wrong when you have edited your link.

It originally went to a forum that required registration.

I had replied to him before I realized there was an issue with the link. bond.san after my reply with the "nope" he PM'd me informing me there was an issue with the link. At that point I had fixed it. So, I, when I replied didn't realize there was an issue, and bond.san was a standup member and informed me of the issue so I could fix it.

So there was no hard feelings from either party I am sure.

Working on the pads now actually. I should have them up starting tomorrow. The first gen cd-rom unit pickup lens I am still trying to find a good source.

MNK, i couldn't find anybody with new KSS-220's or 160's. i had to buy an old ten dollar discman on ebay to get a perfect one. so that may be the hardest part :(

With all the digging I have done recently. deubeul on another forum let me know I could basically mod a KSS-320 pickup lens to work in the original consoles. The type of mod this is, I don't think I will be selling the lens's anytime soon. I am however debating with the risks of putting this as a service on my site.

New aftermarket kss-320 lens's for the TG16-cdrom and original pcengine cd-rom. The unit must have a kss-220 internally. If it doesn't and it uses the kss-162 it won't work. Unless of course I can find a kss-220 broken or not, as I need the cable from it to swap on the 320 before it can be used. A bit more involved then that but that is the shorthand version.

really? i swapped a 162 into mine and it worked, had 220 originally, does it have to do with the 220 having the proper ribbon and the 162 doesn't? they have the same end. but i don't remeber if the connection on the pickup is different.

Correct, the 220 has a ribbon cable that fits the 320. The 162 cable does not fit the 320. To my knowledge this is the only way to get a "new" or "new aftermarket" pickup lens into one of these consoles.
