hey guys i recently needed a new laptop for learning to code and gaming and ugh.. other things ;P so i bought this laptop. its the ailienware m15 and i love it so far. right now im bored waiting for steam to finish downloading and posting it here, any of you guys have game suggestions? ( other than obvious ones like fallout, skyrim, bioshock ) ( full specs: http://www.futureshop.ca/en-CA/prod...spx?path=e40480491f1d4d6cbf2783b8aafa3d4cen02)
Nice laptop speaking of PC gaming do you any good PC's with a built-in HDMI? And with very good specs running under Windows XP?
If you have a USB controller, I strongly recommend getting some emulators, especially for the SNES and PS1. You could easily plug in a mouse and play CS GO or something like Cities XXL,which isn't too demanding.
Ah okay, cuz i plan on getting this Japanese Epson PC desktop that comes with it built-in so that way i could use it on my HDTV in my bedroom. Btw, you guys play any doujin/Japanese PC games? If so, do you know any pretty good ones? Thanks
Yeah I'm planning on building a PC after I move and settle, but it works well enough to play games and make videos.
i have had my m18xR2 for a couple years now and love it. it replaced my aging m9750. i have three monitors hooked to it, 1 goes to my workbench (with seperately attached mouse and keyboard for control) and two monitors on my desktop, one on the right is a tilting full page monitor i use for coding.
I just love this picture, you have a super high tech Alienware laptop with 2 monitors (probably HDMI) flanking either side of it... and a Commodore 64 on the other desk, hooked up through RF
Looks pretty cool, good specs. I've actually been thinking that, if I ever end up in a job that requires me to travel a lot, I might want to get something like this. I would have a need to play games at some point, so it would be cool to have a portable machine that can play modern games well. In the meantime, I have a pretty awesome desktop that I built myself. Have you played any games on it or run benchmarks, etc.?
You sacrifice a lot of portability with these laptops though: I'll be very surprised if the battery lasts more than 2 hours while playing games.
From what I have read, Cities Skylines is a lot better than Cities XXL. I'm waiting for my new laptop to arrive so that I can buy and play Cities Skylines.
I actually thought Skylines was the newest game in that series, but apparently it's got nothing to do with that franchise (how does that even work?). Lazy Game Reviews guy said it's good and much better than Cities XXL, though.
That is right. The names are very similar but the games are very different. It seems Cities XXL is a lot similar to Cities XL but it does have a new price. The game hasn't improved but they released it again. Skylines is a new game/series developed by a small group of people that is getting a lot of positive reviews. Some are saying it is the best city simulator released in the last few years.
A 2600 stick with a C64? BLASPHEMY! I hate that controller, it's so damn squeaky and tight. I use this Cheetah Annihilator with my Commodore 64C.
