http://www.d3signer.com/vectrexnews/game_debris.html Ok, so it's sold out already, but watch the videos. This is well impressive for a Vectrex, it has bitmapped graphics.
Wow, that is pretty impressive. Bitmapped graphics even. This also brings to mind some homebrew developer who has been putting out near-perfect classic arcade ports for the Colecovision recently. It's almost like today's tools and developers can do more with these old systems than was originally thought possible.
For a brief moment, I thought I'd be able to own it. Doh! Honestly though, I'd just be buing it to look at it, to see how it looks and plays...it's always fascinating to see hardware pushed further than you thought it could go. Sigh, I miss my Vectrex. I wanna go home. School blows.
Bitmaps on the Vectrex... that is awesome. But... it's weird, as it sort of defeats the purpose of the Vectrex. Still, I'm impressed.
correct me im wrong, and probably am, but i thought the vectrex could only display vector based graphics, where everything was made from lines?, how could bitmaps been used then? confused Ryan
