Well is nexgen apathy a possibility? I think I may have it. Right now I play PC games, ps2 and gamecube. When will I have time to get around to PS3, xbox360 or REV. I also don't really feel like speding $400 USD on a new system. I thought $299 was pushing it when the first ps2 came out. I am not saying its the wrong price, I am just saying its the wrong price for me. I would much rather put the $400 into the PC, but how do others feel. Is there any real pressing need to care about upcomming nexgen systems? There a still endless amounts of ps2 games that I just haven't gotten around to play and with ebay I can't really see running out of console game experiences. Plus new PC games are easliy my biggest distraction.
Ditto. I could play through Half Life 2 for the 8th time easily before really giving a crap about any 360 launch titles. Guitar Hero, Shadow of the Colisus, RE4 on GC, Ocarina of time N64 all have my attention ATM and it seems pointless to go drop 399.99 when I know I'll just pick up my fake gibson when I get home from work. And like you say what about all the great titles I have yet to purchase like God of War, REZ, Kingdom Hearts 2, the Metroid for DS(not quite out yet). I just got a Dreamcast for cheap and there is a ton of good titles for that system for dirt cheap. I can't help but feel passed up by an amazing offering of games, I need more spare time, and yet just 4 years after Xbox MS is trying to push new hardware on me. I waiver between feeling getting the urge to grab a 360 and just not giving a damn on what seems like an hourly basis. I just want it because I don't have it :banghead:
to be completely honest I'm only waiting on the nextgen consoles ps3 and revolution so I can play all the ps2/gc games I missed out on not owning these consoles. I've been thinking of buying a ps2 and gc a couple of times but always thought it's better to wait for the ps3 and revolution as they are out soon anyway.
