well what can i say... its from the official microsoft xbox website! This is it! If its final if its old if whatever its at least not some persons idea of what it could look like. Its official!
I guess I am old school but I enjoy games that you do not need to go online to play and by the looks of it it seems like online will be the core. I just hope they make they games fully playable with out being online.
Look at the game description. Halo 2? Does this mean the next xbox will be able to play old Xbox games?
I fail to grasp why everyone seems to be so impressed by a Media Player-ish GUI... it's nothing that hasn't been done before, and the games will probably suck just as much anyway.
I couldn't agree more this to me looks no different than another Windows Media Center POS. What I want to know is why the hell consoles can't just be consoles. I know that in the 90s, people were still impressed with CD audio, CD+G and VCDs and then DVDs because it takes 10 years for people before people get over a "new" multimedia; why can't game systems go back to being GAME SYSTEMS (yes, playing games ONLY) and not focus on being a half assed computer/movie player/music player. This would bring the costs and development time down and most importantly deliver a system with a soul and nuances that rely on GOOD developers, not hardware overkill. I hope Xbox2 isn't just a PPC Windows box that can play games on the side.
well they do it because people can get a cheap dvd player that plays games. Hell, everyone here at my dorm that watches DVD's do it on a ps2 or xbox. Then play something when it's over.
