NHK's English language Begin Japanology and Japanology Plus

I'm hooked on this series, I've been watching them nearly non stop on You Tube. I'm not really learning anything I didn't already know besides the topic in this episode



Is anyone else hooked on this show?

 

I think i watched it once but never got around to watching more.

 

My wife (K-Panggg) and me have been watching this show since early 2012, I think it's quite good and very entertaining. Peter Barakan makes for some funny awkward moments sometimes, and some of the voice over's are a blast (I recall the narrator saying "I CAN EAT THIS EVERYDAAAAAAY!" on the episode centered on ramen).

Anyway, if you just discovered it, there are a gazillion episodes, so you are in for a treat.

Yes, thanks man! We have been together for almost 6 years now, and married since January 2014

We've been super busy with tons of life-stuff these past years, recently including relocation to Ireland, so she has been away from the boards for a long time now. I still lurk around and try to post every now and then, and keep her updated as well, it's just hard to find the time. It is easier for me now though, with the new XenForo system which is wonderful for mobile access.

@GodofHardcore have you seen any Japanology Plus yet? I've seen very little of it yet, but I have seen most, if not all, of Begin Japanology.

 

Yeah I have seen some Japanology Plus Episodes, The Bathhouse and Karaoke episodes off the top of my head and a few others. Matt Alt's segments are a good change of pace from Peter.
