That's sad they're available only to U.S. citizens. I hope to have them some day. The good side of this it's that all the money will go to the Michael J. Fox Foundation
Nike=sweatshops. 'nuff said. (disclaimer: many companies use sweatshops but for nike to make stuff in sweatshops and then pretending to give a "foundation" money is pretty laughable)
Part of me thinks they look awesome due to the fact they look very close to the ones in the bttf film however if you wore them in reality you'd look like a right twat as it's not the 80's anymore. The only way you'd pull it of is if you going to a fancy dress party as Marty hehe
They're exact replicas of the movie ones. Only difference is the auto lace lock, and the MAG colouring on the back is different. They're going to bring them out for everyone in 2015 anyway.
Where are our goddman fucking hoverboads and flying cars? And the Jetsons told us we were supposed to have house keeping robots in 2002
Makes you wonder whether any of the buyers will actually wear them at that price. Bit of a waste if they don't... and you'd be treading on eggshells if you did! How do they lace?
Why are they that expensive? are the materials really worth the price of admission? I doubt I'll ever find out with that price tag.. too bad, normal people deserve a piece of the future, too.
They;re expensive cause it's a hype, and for charity I wouldn't mind. If they're going to bring them out in 2015 for everyone, why the hell do this now? Why not make every NORMAL sale go to the charity. It's beyond me.
So dumb lights like the LA Gear sneakers I had when I was 5 But no powerlaces, nike you serious? There are two independent projects to create actual powerlaces, one already has a working prototype with a sensor in the heel that triggers the laces I'll rather put my money there
Ha, the same thing everyone has on their mind when they see this. Seriously, I liked them in the movie for the auto-lacing feature only, not the fact that I can feel like a kid again with light up shoes! ;-) Plus, the power laces might actually justify such a steep price, god damn! They really should have collaborated with some of the independent projects just as Shadowlayer mentioned.
