I've just started reviewing Ninja Blade by From Software. I've played it for 2 hours now and it is a blast. I didn't expect it, but this title tops Ninja Gaiden. First impression: good Any of our Japanese members enjoying this title?
never noticed this title before, in what manners is it better than ninja gaiden? and which ninja gaiden? 1, Sigma, or 2?
From the short burst of playing I did (approx. 2 hrs). It outshines the Ninja Gaiden series in gameplay, graphics and sound. http://www.ninja-blade.com/
 Let's think about this. NES, SNES, Game Boy, Master System, Game Gear, DOS, Spectrum, CPC, Commodore 64 and Amiga. It beat (mostly) 8-bit platforms in graphics and sound?? SHOCK HORROR! OK, fine, let's think about the newer Ninja Gaiden games. Xbox and DS. Hmm, not hard for the 360 to beat them in graphics, really. So, to be honest, you should really only compare it to the Ninja Gaiden game on 360. Which is, of course, a fair comparison. Two hours is plenty of time to give a better review than just "good". Come on, I thought you wanted to do this as a serious hobby!!
Sorry, I can only give a first impression, which is good. And yes, I compared it to the other Xbox360 and PS3 titles. I will write a review after I've finished the game. Not earlier
Should you not be writing the review WHILE playing? That way you dont forget any important points. But yeah, i'm interested in this title. Im a very big fan of the ninja gaiden series. Ninja Gaiden2 was a bit weak. But i can't see it being better than the Xbox ninja gaiden black version.
GREAT GAME! i give it an 8/10 i am stuck on the FINAL boss it takes ALONG time i was fighting him for about 30 minutes and died lol but to me its like ninja gaiden 2 on CRACK! GREAT GAME!
Yeah, I'm having the same issue there, I think it is actual better than Ninja Gaiden 2. Well worth playing
OK, a few points: Yes, you should be reviewing the game (taking notes) as you go. If you're reviewing the game, why are you asking for other people's opinions? REAL reviewers don't go out and read other magazines and steal ideas from them, they do the job they're paid to do themselves. Reviewing is stating YOUR opinion, not someone else's. Reviewers in general have a good command of the English language (or whatever language they speak). "actual better" is not good English - it makes you sound like a chav. We'll let you off the fact that reviewers would have a pretty tight deadline, as you've already stated it isn't your job.
Retro, I have my opinion. Don't you worry As a game fan I like this game. My review in this case will be positive, but somewhat critical. For now, I'm enjoying the game while reviewing it. And wondered if other people are also enjoying it.
My point is that you want to keep yourself AWAY from other reviews whilst reviewing it. Don't allow yourself to come into contact with other opinions, then it will be influenced only by your opinion and noone else's.
you have to be one stuck-one motherfucker to judge something completely in the dark. there might be points that must be raised in order to be appreciated properly, and this comes from someone who has never written a review yet dislikes 90% of games out there because I find very few actually enjoyable
