Out of my entire lifetime playing the Nintendo 64, this happened when I went to play HSV Adventure Racing a few minutes ago. Are any of those addresses common?
I play very frequently on the N64, and have done since 1998, and I've *never* seen that error (or any N64 system error that I can recall. I didn't even know the N64 had built in error messages (maybe it doesn't, maybe that error message is sent by the game itself?). All I can suggest is the usual; make sure the cartridge contacts (and the jumper or expansion pak, and the controller paks) all have clean connections. You don't mention cheats, so I take it you weren't using either ingame cheats, or a Gameshark device? BTW, I've never heard of "HSV Adventure Racing" but I see that it's Beetle Adventure Racing (it's name in the UK). I've played this game a lot (I love it, it's my favourite ever racer), with no sign of error messages.
The game was in the 64 pretty securely, and the expansion pack is secured too. My guess is that it was a error of the game, but my question was: Is it something generic? I loaded my save and that error popped up. I didn't even take the cart out and press the reset button the game started up normally. There was no cheats used, this is the official cart it was clean too since I've had it in the box since the last time I played the game and in a draw. HSV Adventure Racing is the Australian exclusive, and is in fact the exact same game of Beetle Adventure Racing just with some different commentary, and car models.
Could be a corrupt save game, like the game reading a number and looping for so many iterations say normally up to 10 or something but if the number was wrongly saved as 200, and it expends the memory. I'd assume the left numbers are registers and the middle numbers are the stack contents.
The save loaded fine afterwards when I reset the console maybe it was just a loading bug? I thought the save corrupted when I saw the screen too. I'm definitely no expert on this I have a feeling that Zoinkity will know something. I've had corrupted data on other games before and never gotten an error out of it, usually I'm just ask to press A or Z to repair the data or the controller pack.
well i own a copy of HSV Adventure Racing and i have had something like this come up before but only when i knocked the cart
No Mercy 64 had the issue with save files getting corrupted for no reason and that was the only game I ever received a message like this on. It was so long ago [as a child] that I cant remember what it said so it might not be an out of memory error. I was thinking maybe it had issues with memory leaks or something and that caused the corruption
