No PAL console does RGB, at least in the UK. Japanese ones do, with modification. I think some French ones are supposed to be modifiable. If anyone has any info on that, I wouldn't mind looking into it sometime myself.

There are two N64 Pikachu Editions. One is blue/yellow, the other is orange/yellow. Not sure if it was sold in Europe, though...

    Hi there Greenchu,

Thank you very much for taking the time to comment. I did not know of that one. I will have to look into it and see if this was ever done on a PAL release.

Maybe some of you other assemblers will know???

    Thanks again,

    Aaron

In PAL only the blue exist.

For the RBG with PAL console. Only FRA model are modable.
I'm not sure but it seems they are the first series release in France.

Your wrong. It has two model of PAL N64. Early models with builtin VDC dac chip and later version with DENC dac. The labelled "FRA" model can take advantage of RGB with a little mod. This kind of N64 has a VDC chip who is able to output RGB. Unfortunately, the RGB signal is not wired to the AV out port. On PCB it has some traces, location for component but no component. These ones are for signal amp.

On DENC N64, dac can't ouput RGB, only composite signals. It follows that RGB mod it's a bit complexe. You need to setup a CPLD and take signal directly from graphics chip.

    final
    proto

However, dev N64 has native RGB output.

Excellent collection, nice to see someone into the N64. I really love those coloured transparent consoles, always wanted one. Had no idea there was a Donkey Kong console pack, was that sold in the UK?
