According to "game over" when NOA was preparing to lunch the NES in the US Arakawa prepared a first version of the machine called the Nintendo AVS (advnced video system). Supposedly the console housing was different as was the controller and it came with a tape deck and a keyboard. Supposedly not only were working units made for a trade show but also there was supposed to have been literature produced to go with it and hand out to prospective stockists. Does anyone have any images of this or and more info?

I believe it's currently held in the Nintendo World Store in New York City, NY.

Looks like they stole the keyboard design from a Sinclair Spectrum + model...
