I want make a TV out with NDS tank, without Nitro capture kit. i found "jumbotron ds" but it's expensive. does nobody know a means of converting the 5 BIT RGB DS signal into composite? if, with a diagram. my principal problem, it's synchro signal from DS.
Jumbotron DS is a crazy project in fact The result is really brilliant, but it requires a lot of stuff + modding. Personally I would be also interested in a way to send the video signals of a NDS to a TV output (to record, or make demos on bigger screens). I think that it will be really hard to transform two signals (top screen, bottom screen) into only one splitted, like the IS NITRO CAPTURE kit do. If a crazy modder have the first steps to build something like this.. please tell me!
Given how much of an ergonomic nightmare the DS is (I can only play mine for a few minutes at a time) I'm amazed that there's no easy solution to this, official or otherwise.
I remember these old PSP2TV kits, where they captured the screen with a camera: http://www.superufo.com/product_html/SONY_PSP_PSP_TV_Adaptor.html If you don't care about picture quality you could try to mod such a kit for the DS.
oh lol nice tool. Never seen this before. Maybe the sound will not have the same result than here for the psp.. and this thing is really adapted to the psp. To capture both nds screens it will be harder. thanks for sharing this mdmx!
lol ^^ thx for the answers. I also saw a arcade display with a webcam. ^^ the signal of the DS is very simple, but the double screen is a difficulty edit: i've found >this< month ago but business out another link EDIT2: i've found 10-Bit RGB converter ==> TDA8777 i cheat... 5bit x2 => 10Bit
