NINTENDO DS Wi-Fi compatability

I am looking to get my ADSL Router shortly (OK LeGit!)

But I am looking at a wireless one.

I would also like to take advantage of the DS`s Wi-Fi capabilites.

This is the one/bundle I am looking @......anyone have any experience on these or recommendations as to which would be best.

Only one or two are compatible with the DS, and you need to flash it with a modified firmware. I think my brother in law said he had the one that works, I will have a word and see what he say's.

When Nintendo starts releasing games that use standard Wifi and not their proprietary standard, any router should work. I have a Belkin wireless router similar to that one, and I'm not worried.

I thought the DS just used some sort of standard wireless signal - I've seen a few sites online where people were able to detect the signal from their PC. Getting anything usable from the data - that's a whole other ballpark.

Apparently it's what the unberground groups are using to make the uploaders and dumpers.

 

I wouldn't go with a Belkin m8 - they're set to be the pioneers for charging companies advertising space for pop ups you cnat block built into their routers n shit ...

Oh well, if you got the cash to burn, you can still use it as a hub for the DS, stuck onto a network card in your PC. Im sure you can wangle it so it works ,once the first unnoficial online stuff comes out.

 

I have ADSL as well, and it works just fine with the Linksys router Tachi pointed out above.

 

Does it have the smaller ADSL telephone port in the back and then a larger Ethernet port as well? as I also want to link the X-Box/PS2 as well.....to kick LeGit`s behind on HALO2 :smt043
