Nintendo GameCube Caddy from Japan

Around a week ago, I found this thing on EBay. It seems to be some sort of caddy designed for carrying a GameCube. It is equipped with a large drawer and bears the GameCube logo on the front, and it even has wheels! However, I did quite a bit of research and was unable to find any records of anything like this being sold by nintendo or any other company for that matter, or any evidence of anyone else ever owning one of these. I couldn't feven find so much as a picture, other than those the seller provided on EBay. Does anyone know the story behind this thing? I'm honestly quite curious.

If it's official I guess there's a Nintendo trademark on it, you could ask the seller.
At lesat the GBA player look official, it's a bit blurry but you can see the trademark.

 

These are made by Hori from what I remember. Seen them a few times.

 

Gamecube "Station Rack" - there are similar ones from a few companies. A bit too colourful for me...

So what are these caddies for, which purposeful features do they have and what are the reasons to own one?
