    Yes, it is indeed a hardware used to flash NPDP carts (this is a smaller version of the gang writer shown below). About the GBOX you are talking about, it is used to test and debug games.

    i got a gangwriter and ive seen quite a bit of the gangwriter around i just dont have the software for it also the single writer seems to be more rare then the gangwriter as i only seen a small handful of the single writers
