So as we all know, a long time ago in a country far, far away...before making Game&Watch, TV games and eventually the Famicom, Nintendo used to make playing cards. Has anyone got/seen a packet of these cards? As they're gonna date from the 70's or before, what are they actually worth, if anything?
Didn`t they start making them back in the late 1800`s? Yup http://www.nintendo.com/corp/history.html As to what they may be worth I suppose depends on the collector/rarity the sama as anything like that..........
You can still but Nintendo branded playing cards now. I saw a pack only last year for sale in some indi toyshop. Yakumo
I have a pack of Nintendo Hanafuda I bought new in 1994 or so Should I take pics? Hehe, living in No. California has immense Japan related advantages.
I have a double deck of Nintendo playing cards which I got in some toy shop in Saudi in 1991/2. They're pretty normal looking cards, except plastic. They say "NAP" with some arabic underneath on the front of the case - anyone know what that's about?
I'm talking about western-type playing cards. I'll put some pictures up in my thread in the collection pics forum. EDIT: They're up now!
