*Splatoon. No "s" on the end. I think it looks awesome and I want to play it. However, I'm hoping for a good story mode without the obviously multiplayer maps they've shown off, and I doubt we'll get that. Still, it'll be a great game. No voice chat really hurts it, though. If it was on PS4 and/or Xbox One, it'd instantly be a lot better.
Remember Wonderful 101? Although this game will by default sell better, since Wonderful 101 sold about as well as condoms in the Vatican (plus the game wasn't very good).
Plus it was a Wii U exclusive right after launch, when nobody had bought the console because it didn't have Mario Kart or Smash.
I didn't think W101 was that bad, although I will agree the drawing of weapons was a little annoying. The only reason I checked it out was because it was made by the director and producer that did Viewtiful Joe and Okami. While VJ and Okami weren't insanely popular, you'd think they would have marketed that a bit more heavily considering how well received those games were.
Did anyone see IGN's preview that Nintendo was promoting? The campaign looks a bit bland. Hell, the game as a whole looks a bit bland... which is ironic, because I was really digging it when it was announced, and it's super-colourful. I don't think it helps that IGN took their sweet-ass time to play the game, covering every possible inch of cement with paint. I hate IGN. May they all die painfully while I watch. I am so going to hell. Satan will be pissed if he has to put up with me.
