Will this thing get better stuff soon? I've got loads of points, but I don't want a Pokémon wallet or cap. The UK one I'm talking about. Also, when they come up, how much are games and controllers? Tony
The amount of times this crops up......most of the stuff they offer is rubbish!!!!!!!!1 Wallpapers, screensavers, book marks.... We want real stuff They did have some GB-Players ages ago but these went in the matter of a few hours. The DS Vip`s went in a few days...but by then most enthusiasts/fan-boys/collectors would have already had one. I used to know/deal with the people at Cake Media who did a lot of PR for "N" but they didn`t seem to take on board. So I wouldn`t hold your breath.....just keep checking fleabay or VGA
I'd say, keep saving those points, I am pretty sure the catalogues will be renewed once the Nintendo Europe website is totally renewed (redesign and such, probably also an online store. ).
Well I don't know if they did a survey as well. All I know is that Nintendo Europe wants to relaunch their website (which is really mediocre), did a survey (in which I enlisted) with questions such as "Would you be interested in a Nintendo online shop?" and "What kind of items would you like to see added to the stars catalogue?" (vintage hardware, vintage software (NES/SNES/N64/GB/..., merchandising, Nintendo DS/GameCube/GBA hardware/software,... ) and are currently analysing that survey/building a new website/planning on certain things. I want a Nintendo online store dammit!
Yeah I really hope Nintendo Europe will add classic hardware to the catalogue. It would be about time we got something. ;p
Yeh right I have over 10000 stars/points and still have a load to register and still nothing worth having. Very cynical.....always had mostly crap and can`t see it changing. Japan has the best deal on this!!!!!
...The points are usually on a pro-rata basis dependant on the value of the item you buy. ...Something like 250 for a game and 500 for hardware if I remember correctly.
Nah, the european store is generally 250 points/game (nintendo published games only) and 1000 per console (I think), and possibly also 250 points per accessory (At least, There were 250pts in each set of bongos I got with Donkey Konga And Jungle Beat
Its a shame when all they have to offer is desktop wallpapers, You'd think they'd make it interesting 24/7 and offer some old games or atleast something physical. They are better since Goosen left... but not by much, They need to bring back the days of the Nintendo fanclub and a customer service that made it special.
Recently the catalogues been pretty good in my opinion. It went through a real dry period and all of a sudden we got: Numerous A2 Game Posters - 1500 Pac-Pix - ? Pac-Pix Stylus' - ? Kingdom Hearts Ltd Ed SP - 10,000 stars Pokemon Ruby - 4000 stars Pokmon Sapphire - 4000 stars Pokemon Box - 4000 stars Pokemon Colesseum - 4500 stars Black Gamecube w/ Pokemon Colesseum - 10,000 stars Pokemon Colesseum Wallet or Hat - 1500 stars And a friend of mine was telling me European countrys got Baten Kaitos soundtracks and other goodies. Either way, the site in general could do with a makeover and maybe more frequent catalogue updates would be nice.
wow, way too much pokemon crap for me, but for those who like pokemon, it's great. i just hope it could ever happen at nintendo.com or .ca i don't want to spend something i paid for, for a wallpaper.
