I wish nintendo would move on to its next iteration.

Throughout their 100+ years, they always did a good job of adapting developing new products. Don't know they they are so hung up on game systems. Move on. Open up some more love hotels and take some time to regroup.

It seems that all recent Nintendo consoles always are underpowered and thus they always have problems with 3rd party devs porting games. Looks like another case of no gaems tbh.

Unless you wanted to play Nintendo games, it had nothing going for it. Was full of shovelware.
Don't recall any 'good' games on the system either. Got the console really for Excite Truck, didn't enjoy anything else.

The Nights sequel was released on it...also I enjoyed the crap out of the Bit Trip series. Sonic Colors too.
No it's not a ton, but I still play these games from time to time, I enjoyed them that much. Especially Bit trip. Damn, I gotta play me some..

For me it didn't make the pre-order worth it at all. $400 and I liked 1 game. Disappointment. Would never pre-order again.

    There's your problem, you pre-ordered something =p
I bought after I found a couple games I liked. Not disappointment. Also probably cheaper, I certainly didn't pay $400..

To be fair, our (my family's) Wii was free since my father won a competition or something, but I would have begged my parents to get me one regardless for Mario Kart and Smash Bros. Brawl.

After playing a lot of Mario Kart Super Circuit on GBA when I was younger, I can agree that Mario Kart Wii felt a bit strange. I never quite got used to the controls.

I like Brawl much better than Melee or Smash 4.

Hey you leave Brawl out of this! The Wavebird made it just as much fun as Melee.

Good to see you back Assembler.

I think that this 40 percent lost when in portable mod will mostly affect the size of the picture, as there is no need for a huge resolution on a such "small" screen.

Moreover, if the Switch is compatible with Vulkan, I am not so worried about what game can run on this system. And a system not using top of the art hardware will be cheaper, allowing more people (families) to get it, bringing more third Party developpers.

Nintendo's aim has always been not to forget other kind of gamers, not only hardcore gamers. So I think that this system will try to focus on families and casual gamers with a nostalgic touch. I was a gamer when I was younger, but now, with familly and kids, I no longer have a lot of time to play. Does this mean that I am a casual gamer ? I will not say that, as for me "Casual gaming" means playing Candy Crush will dropping a deuce. So I am pretty happy so see that Nintendo isn't only focusing on hardcore gamers. If people wants systems for Hardcore Gamers, they have many choices : PS4, PS4 pro, Xbox One, Xbox One S, PC,....

That's not true, the Wii won the seventh generation. And the winner will inevitably have plenty of good games, and shovelware. Just like all the other winners before it did (PSX, PS2, etc)

Please, stop, I'm laughing too hard!

But no really, you must be joking if you think the Wii won the seventh generation. The Xbox 360 absolutely wiped the floor with the Wii and PS3.

Still Nintendo is rolling in cash, actively not caring about your opinion.
